Placing a crown typically requires two appointments spread out over 2-3 weeks. During your first visit, our Rutland dentist will prepare your tooth for the crown by numbing the area, removing any damaged or decayed enamel, and shaping it to support the crown.

Next, an impression of your tooth will be taken and sent to a trusted lab to create your custom crown. In the meantime, a temporary crown will be provided for you to wear. Once your permanent crown is ready, you will return for your final appointment. Our dentist will ensure the crown fits perfectly and make any necessary adjustments before permanently attaching it to your tooth with special dental cement. You will leave our office with a beautiful, natural-looking replacement tooth.
