Why Do I Need a Dental Bridge Treatment?

Dental Bridges

Types of Bridges

Traditional Bridges: These are made of a replacement tooth attached to two crowns, which fit over the natural teeth on either side of the gap.

Implant-Supported Bridges: Instead of using natural teeth for support, these bridges are anchored to dental implants, providing a secure and durable option.

How Do Dental Bridges Work?

Preparation: Your dentist will shape the abutment teeth, which are the healthy teeth on either side of the gap. Sometimes, the gum tissue will also be adjusted to ensure the best fit.

Impression: A digital impression of your bite will be taken to create a bridge that fits seamlessly with your surrounding teeth.

Fabrication: The impression is sent to a lab, where technicians craft a custom bridge using materials like porcelain, ceramics, and metal.

Temporary Bridge: While your permanent bridge is being made, a temporary bridge will be placed.

Final Fitting: Once the permanent bridge is ready, it will be fitted and adjusted to ensure a proper fit and shape. After final adjustments, the bridge will be securely cemented in place.
