Caring for CEREC crowns is just like caring for traditional dental crowns. It's important to brush and floss regularly to remove food particles and prevent plaque buildup and tooth decay. Brush your teeth twice a day for at least 2 minutes with a soft-bristle toothbrush and fluoride toothpaste, angling the brush at 45 degrees. Don't forget to floss daily and brush your tongue to remove bacteria.

The ADA recommends visiting the dentist every 6 months for a cleaning and checkup to remove stains and plaque, catch cavities or gum disease early, and check the condition of your crowns. If any issues are found, your crowns may need repair or replacement.

To keep your crowns looking their best, avoid smoking, use a straw when drinking, and limit consumption of staining foods and drinks like tea, coffee, and red wine. To prevent damage, wear a nightguard if you grind your teeth, avoid using your teeth as tools, and steer clear of chewing on hard objects like ice, nuts, or hard candy.
