Who Is A Candidate For A Tooth Extraction?
What Happens During A Tooth Extraction?
First, we ensure you are comfortable by administering the appropriate anesthetic or sedation, based on your preference. We’ll discuss all sedation options with you during your consultation. Once you’re relaxed, we proceed to gently loosen and remove the tooth. If necessary, sutures may be placed to help close the gums. To control bleeding, we’ll have you bite down on gauze.
If you’ve been sedated, we will escort you to a recovery area where you can fully wake up. For your safety, we recommend having a friend or family member take you home if general sedation was used. After the procedure, we’ll provide you with essential aftercare instructions to ensure a smooth recovery.
If you think you might need a tooth extraction, give us a call today, and we’ll be happy to schedule an appointment for you.
